Swadhisthana - What's Flowing?
Swadhistana, the Sacral Chakra, located below the navel is the center of creativity and fertility. It represents the Water element and is therefore brings us fluidity, grace and the ability to accept change. It is related to our emotional identity and connects us to others through feeling, desire, sensation and movement. Ideally, this chakra brings us depth of feeling, sexual fulfillment and self-gratification. When the masculine and feminine energy is balanced in the Sacral Chakra, adaptability and flexibility come easily. This creates the balance between connectedness with other people and time spent alone.
Because Swadhistana is connected to emotional identity a block in this chakra can cause disruption of relationships with others along with feelings of disconnection and isolation. Because the Sacral Chakra is tied to our vitality, a disruption in the flow of Prana can cause a fear of death and difficulty with sexual expression.
Physically, it governs sex and reproduction so you may feel cramping and discomfort associated with your reproductive organs along with a disruption of libido and physical reactions to intimacy
A balanced Swadhistana will aid in both physical and mental creativity yielding reproduction and fruitful creations.
