Swadhisthana - The Balancing Act

Now that you know you want to activate and balance Swadhisthana, the Sacral Chakra, what can you do?

Meditating on Swadhisthana, located below the navel, while visualizing a disc of spinning vibrant orange light is a good starting point. Focus on a smooth rotation of the disc and feel the fluidity of your body and mind. Using the color orange in your surroundings is also helpful. Adding some orange throw pillows to your bed or couch and wearing orange clothing are simple ways to activate the Sacral Chakra. An act as simple as eating an orange can help center you as you feel the sweet juice explode when you bite into the wedge. Wearing a favorite piece of jewelry made of Red Avenutrine,  Orange Carnelian, or Blood Citrine can give you a focal piece to meditate on briefly throughout your day.

Diffusing sandalwood or clary sage essential oils will balance Swadhisthana. Savory foods seasoned with cardamon and fennel can also help to activate Swadhisthana. Because the Sacral Chakra is connected to the  Water element, it responds well to interaction with water. A relaxing salt water bath scented with gardenia and ylang-ylang can be the perfect opportunity to meditate on Swadhisthana and feel the balancing effects of the aromatherapy and water.

Once again, YouTube is a great resource for frequency attunement audio to use for vibrational therapy. Back to my favorite, Sonic Harmonic provides a fantastic attunement track for Swadhisthana. The video is great but the sound alone provides the frequency needed to attune your chakra. It's not music but rather tones that are tuned to the vibrational frequency of the chakra. Try this one out for Swadhisthana:

Close your eyes and absorb the sound. Feel the resonance of the vibration in your body and imagine your vibrant orange Swadhisthana just below your navel, whirling freely and effortlessly clockwise. You are firmly on your way to flexibility in mind, body and spirit.
