Sahasrara - What’s Flowing?

Sahasrara, the Crown Chakra, located at the top of the head is the source of Universal identity, wisdom and bliss. It represents the Thought element and brings us knowledge. From Sahasrara we find our connection to the greater world beyond, to a timeless, spaceless place of all-knowing. As such it opens our connection to experience consciousness as pure awareness.

Ideally, this chakra connects us with the source of the white light coming into your energy field. Opening the Crown Chakra invites integration and unity with the divine. It is also where your connection to “all that is” manifests and where you will feel your place it the Universe. This is the origin of your Dharma, life’s purpose, and where enlightenment is develops and grows.

A block at the Crown Chakra can lead to feeling a lack of direction in your life or questioning your path and purpose. You may not feel connected or have faith in your self or know your place in this plane of existence. Excessive daydreaming or obsession with fantasy is also an indication of a blocked Crown Chakra.

It is important to note that the Sahasrara is the only chakra that should never be closed. Maintaining your connection to your Higher Power at all times is ideal. Even when you intentionally close other chakras to protect yourself from outside source energy drains it is critical to keep your connection at the Crown Chakra open.

Physically, imbalance in Sahasrara will manifest issues with balance and clumbsiness, generally more evident in one side rather than the other. Overall physical aches and pains that are not common for the person or manifestation of Fibromyalgia or similar neurological diseases and disorders indicate a blockage at the Crown Chakra. These issues can commonly lead to depression or other psychological issues.

Tomorrow I’ll touch on what optimized Sahasrara energy flow feels like.
