Ajna - What's Flowing?

Ajna, the Brow Chakra, located in the center of the forehead is the source of intuition and self-reflection. It represents the Light element and brings us insight. From Ajna we experience the world through sight, both physically and intuitively. As such it opens our psychic faculties and our understanding of archetypal levels.

Ideally, this chakra allows us to see clearly, in effect, letting us “see the big picture” and our place in that construct. Opening the Brown Chakra allows you to experience spiritual wisdom and enlightenment. This is where understanding of yourself is born.

A block at the Brow Chakra can lead to a skewed perception of reality which is often negative. You may feel a sense of confusion and inability to comprehend and process information in the physical world. You may feel “spaced out”. You may find it difficult to concentrate and that inspirational thoughts tend to distort into fantasy rather than creative imagination. A disconnection from intuition may make you feel like you don’t know what to do. Decision making can be very difficult.

Physically, imbalance in Ajna will manifest headaches, especially in the sinuses and problems with the eyes.

Tomorrow I’ll touch on what optimized Ajna energy flow feels like.
