Manipura - The Balancing Act

Now that you know you want to activate and balance Manipura, the Solar Plexus Chakra, what can you do?

Meditating on Manipura, located above the navel just below the chest, while visualizing a disc of spinning vibrant yellow light is a good starting point. Focus on a smooth rotation of the disc and feel the strength and power of your body and mind emanating from your ‘gut’. Using the color yellow in your surroundings is also helpful. Exposing yourself to sunlight (with proper sunscreen protection) is also beneficial. Feel the warm sun on your face and concentrate on drinking the warm light into your Solar Plexus Chakra.

Wearing a favorite piece of jewelry made of Tiger’s Eye, Topaz, Yellow Jasper or Citrine can give you a focal piece to meditate on briefly throughout your day. Savory foods seasoned with cardamom, coriander, rosemary and lemon balm can also help to activate Manipura. Being connected to the Fire element, the Solar Plexus Chakra responds well to interaction with fire. Burning unscented soy based candle with a cotton wick while diffusing cedarwood, juniper, lime and lavender essential oils can provide a perfect setting to meditate on Manipura and feel the warmth and energy from the flames.

Once again, YouTube is a great resource for frequency attunement audio to use for vibrational therapy. Sonic Harmonic provides some of my favorite attunement tracks. The video is great but the sound alone provides the frequency needed to attune your chakra. It's not music but rather tones that are tuned to the vibrational frequency of the chakra. Try this one out for Manipura:

Close your eyes and absorb the sound. Feel the resonance of the vibration in your body and imagine your vibrant yellow Manipura just above your navel and below your chest, whirling freely and effortlessly clockwise. You are on your way to embracing your balanced sense of personal power.
